Curry returned with the second episode of Season 2 of the Burning Sage Podcast, featuring a robust conversation with High Point head coach Flynn Clayman. At just 37 years old, Clayman has already carved out one of the more unique paths in college basketball. A Venice, California native who served as a ball boy on some great late 90's USC teams, his collegiate playing career spanned multiple regions of the country before he embarked on an international journey as both a player and coach.
Clayman spoke about the thrill and pressure of coaching at a place with great resources and even greater expectations. The conversation also explored his experiences internationally, the coaches who've influenced his worldview, and how some of his challenges as a player have informed the way he builds and manages rosters in today's NIL era.
